FAQ
I have been sent a URN. What is this, and why would I have been sent this?
A URN is a Unique Reference Number that will allow you enter the FilmTix site to redeem your free cinema ticket. You will have been sent this as you recently participated in a programme. If you need more information, please contact us at filmtix@filmology.co.uk where a member of the team will be able to help.
How many times can I use the URN?
The URN can only be used once and each one entitles you to one free cinema ticket.
When must I apply by?
Your URN will have an expiry date applied to it. The expiry date will be clearly detailed within the communication you received at the beginning of the campaign, this may have been in the form of a postcard, SMS text message or an email. Codes used after the expiry date will not be valid and cannot be replaced. It is recommended that you keep your URN in a safe place to prevent this from being lost or stolen.
The site says my code is invalid, what can I do?
Firstly check that you have input all of the characters correctly (be sure that you have correctly identified the difference between letters and numbers (e.g. 0 and O)), if you are certain that the code is correct, contact us at filmtix@Filmology.co.uk with the code you are trying to input.
The site says my code has been used before, what can I do?
Did you share your code with any third party or have you input it before? If so it could be that your code has already been used. If not, contact us at filmtix@Filmology.co.uk with the code you are trying to input.
Where can I use my tickets?
Tickets are only valid for participating Cinema's. You will be asked to enter your postcode within the “Find my nearest” section of the site. The page will automatically list participating cinemas within a 20 mile radius of the postcode entered. To increase or decrease this radius, simply change the miles from 20 to your preferred distance. When you have selected your chosen cinema, you will be taken to a check out page where you will enter your details in order for your Free ticket to be sent to you.
How do I know if my free ticket application has been successful?
You will receive a confirming on screen that your application has been received and the details of this application.
Do my tickets have an expiry date?
Yes. Tickets have an expiry date which can be found on the reverse. All cinema tickets will have at least 3 months validity from the date of issue. Tickets cannot be replaced once they have expired.
I have not received my ticket, what should I do?
If you have not received your ticket within 14 days of your application please e-mail us at filmtix@filmology.co.uk with the details of your application.
